CoffeeSafe is an independent health and safety driven organisation. Our primary aim is to continually Improve safety, Raise standards and Promote awareness within the coffee industry.
We do this by applying a ‘Think Safety First’ attitude at all times.
We work in close partnership with industry manufacturers, suppliers and service providers, to maintain the safety of traditional espresso, bean to cup coffee machines and self-serve vending machines.
We are very proud to work with over 150 coffee machine service providers and manufacturers. We have trained over 1000 established coffee machine engineers on the introductory course to the Pressure System Safety Regulations 2000.

So, Is it important to have a yearly PSSR test on your pressurised machines ?
If you are using a pressurised traditional machine or hot water boilers / milk steamer then in appliance to your public liability and business insurances you need to have them checked every 12 months and have a copy of the PSSR certificate to hand in case you are asked for it.
We know that some cafe owners do not have these tests done every year or even worse get hold of fake certificates and paperwork as they do not feel that the PSSR test and servicing of the pressurised systems is important, so what happens if you don't have the relevant tests completed every 12 months?.
Well the simple answer is it could explode damaging your business premises and definitely injury any customers that are in your establishment, don't believe us, then watch the video and see what happens when the pressurised system is faulty.
