So the season is well under way and already a lot has happened for the 8Ten Racing Team. The whole team has dug deep to get the team ready to go racing, please keep in mind that they didn't have confirmation that the FHO team were not participating in the 2025 British Superbike Season, nor would they be fielding a roads team until February 2025, which meant Peter, Davey, all the team and BMW Motorrad had to hit the ground running to make the 8Ten Racing team successful.
A week before the first round of the BSB season at Oulton Park the guys hadn't even go the Superbikes that they would be using this year, thankfully the bikes arrived on the Tuesday before the team embarked on the first round at Oulton Park. Arrive in the BSB paddock with limited data, lack of race parts and no time on the bike, but still they qualified, raced and welcomed VIP's to the hospitality unit.
But as the weekend continuded tragedy struck the paddock when, during the supersport support series main race, 11 riders were caught up in an incident on the exit of the first corner which unfortunatley resulted in the death of 2 great riders, Owen Jenner and Shane Richardson. The meeting was immediately abandoned.
SWBeans Limited would like to take this opportunity to offer our deepest condolences and sympathy to the family, friends and the respected teams who, at this time, are dealing with the most awful situation imaginable.

With the awful events that unfolded, and the lack of time on the bikes, the team headed off to the NW200 in Northern Ireland, known as the Trinangle Circuit, with minimum data and time on the new BMW1000MRR and as this is an international roads event, the first major road race of the 2025 seasons, and the curtain opener for the Isle of Man TT at the end of May, there was a lot to sort out not just on the bikes but off it to.
Peter Hickman and Davey Todd, team co owners of 8Ten Racing, head into the 2025 season as favorites for many of the events, so getting things right and quickly, not just for them but for BMW Motorrad, was the most important item on the agenda, and as always the crew got their heads down during practice allowing Davey and Peter to qualify on the front row of the grid for the first Superbike race.
Step forward Davey Todd, in the first road race for the new team, Davey fought for the whole race keeping Dean Harrison at bay to bring the new BMW1000MRR in first and winning the first major race and not to be out done Peter bought it home in 3rd in a close battle between the first 3 places, and this was just the start of a successful event.
By the time the event closed on Saturday night Davey had won 3 races and claimed 'Rider of the NW200 2025', his second one on the trott after winning the same crown in 2024, and the 8Ten Racing Team picked up 'Team of the NW200 2025' a great start for the new team and the BMW1000MRR.
Next up, Round 2 of the Bennetts British Superbike at Donington Park. The event starts on Friday 16th May concluding on Sunday 18th May. The boys and the team obviously head into the event on a high after the NW200 but know that there is still work to do for the short circuit racing, but you can guarantee everyone will be doing everything they can to continue the success for themselves and all of their sponsors.

SWBeans Limited are pleased to be working with the 8Ten Racing team, supplying the VIP Hospitality unit with their coffee machines, support and of course their exclusive blend of the 8Ten Racing coffee and luxury hot chocolate for the 2025 season and look forward to helping where we can to bring the success that the team expect, even if it is just keeping the coffee going for the hard working team.........
